Bristol Airport has unveiled ambitious plans to build a new runway by 2019 on top of its existing landing strip.
If the move is approved it would double the size of the airport and allow for more flights, especially long-haul routes to US destinations like Orlando or Honolulu. A consultation process on the proposals will begin in September 2013,
